Through our Global Sourcing Forum+Expo in New York, and Global Sourcing Forum in London, we produce the industry’s largest and most content rich events, attracting over 1,500 sourcing executives each year. From CIO’s at Fortune 50 companies to the best analysts and thought leaders in the industry, we have developed a deep knowledge of the global sourced services industry.

Our long term relationships and neutral stance in the marketplace have earned the trust of buyers and sellers of sourced services alike. Leveraging these trusted relationships, we have been able to produce some truly unique opportunities where service providers, government officials and enterprise practitioners can have a free exchange of ideas in an environment designed to promote understanding.

In July of 2009, we produced our first Hosted Trade Mission to China with great success. OutsourceWorld senior executives were accompanied by fourteen (14) senior level executives from some of the world’s most recognizable firms for a 12 day, 2-city trip to China. As our guests in Shanghai and Zhengzhou, the executives were introduced to China in a way that few new entrants to China would ever see. Here are a few comments from the executives who traveled with us. They can summarize the experience far better than I can:

PURPOSE

The purpose of this trade mission is to foster real business development and relationship building between Chinese and US based organizations. We believe the best way to do this is in person. Although conference calls, email and other distance-communication methods are valuable tools in maintaining established relationships, they cannot replace the face-to-face interaction that the Chinese culture requires in order to engender and build trust and long-term cooperation.

Leveraging our experience and established relationships in China, we create a unique experience for you as a potential delegate on our fully hosted and Sponsored Trade Missions. If you have a mandate to “get things going” in China, it could take you 3-5 years to organically build the necessary relationships to get things done. Contacts you will make with key industry executives and top Government officials by participating in this trade mission will reduce this time to a matter of weeks or months. This opportunity is exclusive and is offered to only 15 executives who will be fully sponsored.

HOW WE DO IT

We carefully qualify and select enterprise and service provider executives in the US and China respectively. We design our selection process to ensure a few critical elements on both sides of the mission:

  1. Only qualified senior level decision makers are selected to participate from both US and Chinese firms
  2. The objectives and expectations of all sides are understood and communicated to the participants in advance of face to face meetings
  3. We match organizations based on stated needs from the enterprise side and demonstrated capabilities and qualifications from service providers and Technology parks, enhancing the probability of useful conversations and a successful outcome for all participants

The 15 Trade Mission Delegates are invited by us directly or referred by current and past delegates. The nominal “Commitment Fee” of $250.00 is the only cost delegates will incur on this trip. We extend invitations only to the most senior enterprise executives and the most seasoned executives and officials from the host city’s top service providers, Technology Parks, and Provincial/Municipal Governments. US, UK, and Canadian participants will meet one or more of the following criteria:

  1. Would seriously consider engaging with qualified China based service providers or technology parks
  2. Interested in entering the Chinese market through a JV, acquisition, etc.
  3. Interested in a Chinese partner or sales channel for China, Asia or Western facing initiatives

WHAT WE WILL DO FOR YOU

For Qualified executives, OutsourceWorld will:
Provide VIP International and China domestic air/rail transportation
Provide VIP hotel accommodations
Arrange targeted and focused introductions to top level executives and government officials in the host cities

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

In the US:
Attend the Pre-Trade Mission Executive Forum and Cocktail Reception in New York on March 12, 2010 for a pre-trip overview and China Orientation session and to meet fellow travelers
Post a $250 “Commitment Fee” to OutsourceWorld once you have been accepted as a delegate.
Meet with up to 8 senior executives from selected Non-China based service providers at the Executive Forum.

In China:

Meet and network with: Group activities will include visits to Technology Parks, existing Chinese and Expatriate firms, attending local conferences, and VIP tours of cultural and historical sites
